This is a nice cafe in the city. Busy I must say given proximity to council office. Chicken is halal as per the service team. We had a nos of things and they all came out well. Serving size is appropriate to price and comparable to other places. Taste was good too We had chaat masala potato 23$ Omurice rice with chicken 29$ (a bigger serving would certainly help) Double eggs/yolk on a sourdough 14$ (this was too plain) Smoked salmon club champ 27$ (slight variation to eggs bene by using potato base) Waffle savory with chicken 26$ (this ws ok) Smoothies were expensive10.50 each and left quite a bit to be desired. Taste wise nothing special. Long black was fine 5$ Overall this is a good place for breakfast and coffee and certainly liked their variation. There is also cabinet food such as bagels cakes etc..

If you're in Christchurch, Doubles is an absolute must-visit! Hands down, the best café in the city. The selection of gluten-free options is incredible — it’s not just a couple of items; it’s a whole range of delicious choices that cater to every craving. Whether you’re in the mood for a hearty breakfast, a light lunch, or a sweet treat, they've got it all, and it’s insanely amazing. If you’re a foodie or just someone who appreciates incredible coffee and mouthwatering meals, Doubles Cafe is the spot. I can’t recommend it enough. Every visit is a treat! Yum doesn’t even begin to cover it.

I have heard about this cafe but it wasn’t until today that I ventured down there. I was impressed with the variety of gluten free food available on the menu. Not just a courtesy side option of stale GF toast but the full dish. Let me tell you, when my waffles with crispy chicken arrived my eyes almost fell out. When I put the first bite in my mouth I had to take a moment to control myself. It. Was. Delicious. The waffle with the perfect combination of soft and crispy, pickled onions, maple syrup but then the chicken. A celiac does not often find GF crispy chicken available at cafes. This is the bomb. Chicken so perfectly cooked coated in a gorgeous crispiness. Yes I loved it. Yes I’m going back as there are other options I want to try (GF granola has my name on it!).

Such a pretty cafe with beautiful sunshine! The place looks absolutely amazing, and the location is perfect. The coffee was a bit strong for me, but it paired really well with the sweet French toast. And the French toast was bussin!! Honestly the best I’ve ever had. Also, there’s a bike rack right in front of the cafe, which made it super easy and safe to park my bike

Great atmosphere in city area. Lovely staffs, love the main tone picked for the cafe. The fried chicken with waffles and double York with mushrooms are amazing. Perfectly seasoned, personally love the gf bagel. Good coffees, great place for hangout in city.

Everything we had was very yummy. : Good space with a paid parking lot right across the road. Right near the art gallery, so a great place to get brunch before exploring the city. We absolutely loved the savory chicken waffles! The French toast with berries was divine. Coffee was good and strong. Definitely going back next time we are I. Christchurch

One of my favourite places for brunch/lunch! Heaps of gluten-free options in the cabinet and on the menu and everything I’ve tried so far has been delicious. The gf chicken and waffles and the bowls are always a treat
